WHAT: Whole30 Dressings and Marinades
WHY: We are not huge proponents of bottled dressing. Because we are infuriating snobs. And we even went so far as to judge you for not making your own, homemade dressing.
But most bottled dressings are riddled with sugar and you know how we feel about sugar. But if you don’t feel like clicking to that article to find out we’ll just tell you right here. It’s poison. It’s really the only thing we come down hard on as a “wellness brand” but it is. It really is.
And that’s why it’s all the more exciting to find a bottled dressing that is both not riddled with sugar, and also not disgusting. And guess what? We’ve found one. So huzzah, etc etc.
Whether you’re doing the Whole30 or not, having a quick, sugar-free dressing waiting for you in the side door of your fridge on nights where all you can do is fling a bunch of vegetables into a giant bowl and call it a salad, is, well, a life saver.
It comes in House Ranch (perfect as a dip), Elderberry Vinagrette (if you’re longing for sweetness), Buffalo Vinaigrette (!!!), Secret Sauce (kind of profound with sweet potato fries), and Creamy Balsamic (good with almost anything that’s in your fridge right now).
We are especially taken with the Buffalo flavor, which is a revelation as straight-up salad dressing because we just never thought to do that. We even asked Melissa Urban herself, founder of the Whole30, how she likes to use it, and she said she throws 3lbs of chicken breasts and a bottle of the Buffalo Vinaigrette in a slow cooker for “2 ingredient perfection.”
Which, brb doing now.
