But in this case, we have to concede. The insanely viral, TikTok-beloved Tower 28 mascara is, unequivocally, the best mascara we’ve ever tried. Ever.
That’s such a sweeping almost hyperbolic statement that we can scarcely believe we’re writing those words, but it’s the truth. We’ll regale you with some of its standout features, but first, behold some of the most feathery, separated, non-clumpy lashes:
Ok, now for the big pitch.
1. It. Does. Not. Budge. But like, truly. We’ve tried what feels like hundreds of mascaras that make that claim and inevitably we look like a raccoon come 2 pm. But with this one, it looked identical at the end of the day without a single flake in sight. Sidebar: we are old with saggy/hooded lids so if it can withstand that, it can withstand anything.
2. While it has a plasticky wand, which we have typically not liked in the past, for some reason this wand is different. It’s very compact with extremely short bristles so it’s easy to use with aforementioned hooded/droopy lids.
3. And speaking of the wand, it has a gentle curve, so as you comb it through, it almost gives your lashes a natural curl. We’ve tried it now with and without an eyelash curler, and we actually prefer it without! Shock of shocks!
4. And really the pièce de resistance (a phrase we never use because it’s lost all meaning but it felt right today), the overall feathery look it gives your lashes is just unmatched. You can keep applying coat after coat and your lashes become fuller, not clumpier. And with only ONE coat our lashes looked fluttery and full, so you have a lot of options.
We sort of have this rule that mascara is one of those products we’ll let ourselves spend any amount of money on, because getting the perfect one is just that crucial for feeling entirely put-together and pretty and awake-looking.
