We now create entire “going out” outfits around making sure we have comfortable shoes to wear. Super wide-leg pants with pointy flats, flat sandals that lace up the leg, you get it.

And so for us to write an entire article about one pair of heels, it really says something. Because we are the worst combination of things: insanely picky about comfort, but also not willing to sacrifice beauty and chicness AT ALL.

Behold, the prettiest, most comfortable block heel we’ve ever worn:

This photo makes us want to book a trip to Santorini immediately, and only pack whites and neutrals. Ok, so clearly it is handsome. But what kind of sorcery makes it so, unbelievably comfortable? Let us count the ways:

The insoles are incredibly cushioned and designed to be “shock absorbing” so they feel like a literal slipper

The edges of all the leather straps have a slight fold, which means they don’t need any break-in time, and feel perfect the second you put them on (we wore them the day we got them out all day and had zero marks or gauges which is unheard of with a strappy shoe)

The interior of the leather straps are extremely soft as well, so they don’t stick to your skin even if it’s blazingly hot

There’s very minimal hardware so there’s no chance of metal scrapes or weirdness

The straps hold your feet like a hug (a perfect medium width, that is flexible enough for narrower or wider feet)

And now for the true pièce de résistance, which we finally figured out is the shape of the heel itself which has a sort of flare to it:

There is just more surface area of the heel hitting the floor when you walk, so you have incredible stability but also just immense comfort, as it’s fully supporting your weight with each step. We got very nerdy about this shoe (obviously) because the comfort level was so off the charts better than any other heel we’ve tried so we really had to figure out why.

And so now that we have a heel we can walk in all day, we find ourselves wearing it more casually, with dressy pants (like THIS), with our pretty, full skirts (like THIS) and with this one change, we feel more put together, more (eek) ladylike, and you know what? We like it.

We have the almond color (which goes with everything on earth, including black) but we are eyeing the bone next to wear with some fancier dresses for events and weddings coming up. Ok, possibly the black as well. Ugh.
