Powered by a boatload of hyaluronic acid and some sort of witches brew, this product claims to be TWICE as effective at firming, lifting, and smoothing, than retinol. And we cannot agree more. So the main ingredient is this thing called resveratrol, which is a plant compound found in food like wine, berries. And because it’s so rich in antioxidants, it both fights free radicals (which damage the skin) but it also works in real-time to lessen fine lines, hyperpigmentation, smooth out texture, and give an overall radiant appearance to the skin. Better still, the results are seen much more quickly than with retinol, so because we’re nothing if not impatient, seeing those immediate changes helped us stick with using it every, single night, instead of giving up like we typically have done with retinol.
We used it at night along with their night cream, and the combination felt like the perfect sort of 40ish powerhouse—the serum helps us know we’re doing something to really improve our skin, and the moisturizer helps with overall plumpness and hydration and softness. Using only two products at night is just such a joy because if we’re being honest, we just don’t ever stick to routines that are more complicated than that.
