We can test the colors at Sephora but our wills are usually broken down by some “friendly” wing-linered associate who sends us home with a bag full of shit we never use again. We can peruse the drugstore in blessed peace and quiet but have no way of testing colors so even though everything is cheaper we end up buying more than we normally would because once we get it home, the color in our home-light is suddenly Cheeto-orange.

So although we can’t choose your color for you, we can tell you that the Mac face and body foundation is truly gorgeous on almost every skin type, especially, ahem, aging.
We know. The “body” part of the name feels scary. It’s not. It’s lightweight, leaves a bouncy, dewy finish, and never does what many foundations do, which is sink INTO our lines and wrinkles, therefore doing the opposite of its job. It promises a full 8 hours of wear (and means it), is great for sensitive skin, is totally waterproof, yet with all of this, just makes your skin look like the best version of itself.
It plays well with cream blushes and bronzers as well as powders. Use with your fingers for the most fresh finish. You won’t go back to other foundations. You just won’t.
