What: Nap Loungewear Plush Cashmere Rib-Knit Cardigan
All I’ve ever wanted in life, is to pad around in my enormous, neutral-toned kitchen, wearing impossibly soft knits, deciding whether to date a suspiciously handsome doctor while intermittently sobbing uncontrollably.
I’m still working on the kitchen/doctor, but friends, I have found the soft, soft, softest knit to bring my dream incrementally closer to reality.
Here she is. The cashmere sweater we’ve all longed for. The one we imagine loosely draped over a crisp, white, oversized (potentially starched?) pajama shirt, with waffle-knit leggings and slouchy socks.
So typically when I think of cashmere, I think of it being a fabric for “rich people” whoever those people are.
I have always adjusted my expectations around sweaters to defacto include some level of scratchiness. In fact, though the word itself, cashmere, feels almost opulent on the tongue, in truth, it’s a word I fear. Because once I see the price, I’m always reminded that I must not be worthy of luxe, hallucinagenically soft materials.
So I close my computer, retreat to my bedroom, pull my scratchy-as-fuck angora cardigan tight around my shoulders, and sulk.
Now, at $198 this cashmere sweater is certainly not cheap, though compared to nearly every piece of cashmere out there which START around $300, it feels almost like…a secret. Especially for something you’ll wear daily, lounging on the couch watching 90’s psychosexual thrillers, stirring hearty, homemade soups in heavy bottomed pots, and just generally wrapping yourself in its creamy, plush, fleecy warmth, potentially for the rest of your life.
It has a roomy fit (you might even want to size down), goes up to a 3XL, and comes in EIGHTEEN COLORS. Hazel has our hearts, but how can we say no to Fawn?
Ok, off to snuggle myself in its cozy warmth while watching Something’s Gotta Give, dreaming of my future kitchen’s open shelving, featuring various mismatched, cream-colored ceramics.
