If someone is yelling, or being snappish, or getting a tone, it’s proFOUNDly difficult to stay in our adult consciousness, and not meet them right where they are with similar energy. Like, possibly one the hardest things any of us can attempt to do.

The example below is about a parent and child, but the technique can be used across all dynamics. So we use this as a template to remember in those moments, and it helps us to not “throw the ball back.”
