If we were to buy a brand new, brand name dress for every wedding and party we were invited to in spring and summer, we’d be living off Ramen all fall and winter.
Enter Amazon.
Going into Amazon for an event dress can feel like trying to dig out the M&Ms from a week-old trail mix. You’re gonna get a lot of Brazil nuts and raisins before the sweet stuff surfaces.
And so, we did the digging for you.
Here we share our curated list of 13 dresses we can happily wear to the upcoming onslaught of warm-weather events.
And look, you’re not gonna feel a deep lust for the photos of the dresses, because, as we all know, Amazon photos are cheap and bad and not anything like the gorgeously lit product shots of brands like Anthropologie. But rest assured, it’s a very different story in person.

We’re a little wild about this particular whimsical one, but there are other designs available, and we wouldn’t bat an eye if you told us you got any one of them from Farm Rio for 12X the price.

3. This Minimalist Dress You'll Feel Comfortable In All Eve
Right. Don’t wear this much white to a wedding. To anything else, wear this. Especially big, lavish dinners where you can eat all the bread and not worry for a one minute about bloating. It’s sexy(ish) minimalism without the tightness. Sort of the dream, is it not?

The pleated skirt is magic on curves. But then there’s the braided strap. Take us to Greece immediately.

Smocking is magic. It holds you in like shapewear and gives everyone and their mother an hourglass. But pair that with a floaty sleeve and even floatier skirt, and you have yourself a winning silhouette. And you won’t have to worry for one minute about bra and underwear lines. The whole dress honestly feels like a nightgown that way.

And here is another example of the magic of smocking, this time in a maxi dress we scarcely want to remove from our bodies, because it’s so comfy and easy, but then you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror and are like, how is it possible I look THIS good? Dress it up with heeled sandals and some minimalist jewelry. And poof, you’re done.

The kind of genius thing about this dress is that you get as much coverage as if you’d thrown on an enormous sleep tee, but the tiering and neckline are so lovely, you look 100% chic, elongated, and like you know exactly what you’re doing where fashion is concerned. Another verrrry easy way to look longer and lovelier and more elegant than ever. The periwinkle reminds us a little of one our fav looks from Carrie Bradshaw, but we’re really eyeing the pale pink for this thing we’re going to next month. Yes, it’s a wedding.

We end with something visually brilliant (cause the writing ain’t gonna cut it today). It’s a flattering maxi dress with a top you can style so many ways, we get dizzy just looking at it.
