by The Candidly Team

If we were to buy a brand new, brand name dress for every wedding and party we were invited to in spring and summer, we’d be living off Ramen all fall and winter.

Enter Amazon.

Going into Amazon for an event dress can feel like trying to dig out the M&Ms from a week-old trail mix. You’re gonna get a lot of Brazil nuts and raisins before the sweet stuff surfaces.

And so, we did the digging for you.

Here we share our curated list of 13 dresses we can happily wear to the upcoming onslaught of warm-weather events.

And look, you’re not gonna feel a deep lust for the photos of the dresses, because, as we all know, Amazon photos are cheap and bad and not anything like the gorgeously lit product shots of brands like Anthropologie. But rest assured, it’s a very different story in person.

All of these dresses are lovely. And none are your typical skintight, hide-under-8-pairs-of-shapewear kind of dresses. They’re the kind we feel glorious in all night. And not one of them is over $100. Most don’t even come close.

1. This Pretty Dress That Works For Every Occasion

Like Reformation but a fraction of the price. This is also a great choice for those of us who like a sleeve and a little belly coverage but don’t want a super full skirt.

Price: $48

2.  This $15 Dupe for Farm Rio

Half of you will pooh-pooh a bold pattern and half of you won’t be able to believe this gorgeous print is avail on Amazon. We’re a little wild about this particular whimsical one, but there are other designs available, and we wouldn’t bat an eye if you told us you got any one of them from Farm Rio for 12X the price.

Price: $15

3. This Minimalist Dress You'll Feel Comfortable In All Eve

Right. Don’t wear this much white to a wedding. To anything else, wear this. Especially big, lavish dinners where you can eat all the bread and not worry for a one minute about bloating. It’s sexy(ish) minimalism without the tightness. Sort of the dream, is it not?

Price: $46

4. The Elegant Midi No One Will Believe You Got On Amazon

The pleated skirt is magic on curves. But then there’s the braided strap. Take us to Greece immediately.

Price: $50

5. This Romantic Dress That’s So Comfy You Could Sleep In It

Smocking is magic. It holds you in like shapewear and gives everyone and their mother an hourglass. But pair that with a floaty sleeve and even floatier skirt, and you have yourself a winning silhouette. And you won’t have to worry for one minute about bra and underwear lines. The whole dress honestly feels like a nightgown that way.

Price: $61

6. The Wildly Flattering Strapless Maxi

And here is another example of the magic of smocking, this time in a maxi dress we scarcely want to remove from our bodies, because it’s so comfy and easy, but then you catch a glimpse of yourself in a mirror and are like, how is it possible I look THIS good? Dress it up with heeled sandals and some minimalist jewelry. And poof, you’re done.

Price: $35

7. The Tiered Dress That’s Great For A Belly Pooch

The kind of genius thing about this dress is that you get as much coverage as if you’d thrown on an enormous sleep tee, but the tiering and neckline are so lovely, you look 100% chic, elongated, and like you know exactly what you’re doing where fashion is concerned. Wear it with THESE for extra height but zero foot pain.

Price: $35

8. The Proper Gown That Comes In Every Color You Could Possibly Want

At first glance, this is more of a traditional gown, but look at that little sweep of ruching round the tum and then that drapey piece of fabric that falls from the waistline. All of that makes it the most flattering long dress on curves. All you have to do is choose your best color, cause the fit Is gonna be *chef’s kiss.*

Price: $60

9. The Understated Silky Dress

Another verrrry easy way to look longer and lovelier and more elegant than ever. The periwinkle reminds us a little of one our fav looks from Carrie Bradshaw, but we’re really eyeing the pale pink for this thing we’re going to next month. Yes, it’s a wedding.

Price: $56

10. The Flattering Floral Dress

Even in the hottest days, we don’t always love going sleeveless to events. This dress is a life-saver. And it can dress up or down so you’ll be wearing it constantly - even in autumn.

Price: $39

11. The Easy Breezy Black Dress

There’s something dramatic that we’re drawn in by with this dress. Kind of exciting how it comes off all sleek and modern and fitted when really it’s a big, billowy (and pocketed!!) skirt. We wear it with flats, because you can do that with this kind of dress. And it feels liberating.

Price: $33

12. The Statement Dress For Those Who Are Bored By Neutrals

We said we weren’t doing tight and here we are doing tight. AND WITH A PRINT! However, if you’re looking for something slinky and statement and stunning on your body, this is the dress. Whatever this crinkled material is, it’s remarkable on curves. Just take a look at the reviews.

Price: $32

13. The Gorj Gown You Can Style 17 Ways

We end with something visually brilliant (cause the writing ain’t gonna cut it today). It’s a flattering maxi dress with a top you can style so many ways, we get dizzy just looking at it. But it makes the dress extra fun and extra easy to wear on repeat, because (especially in black) it can look like a different dress every time.

Price: $53
