This Homemade “Healthy Coke” Is Made With One, Insane Ingredient

by The Candidly Team

To be honest, if you want a coke, drink a coke.

But if you want to try a semi-insane wellness trend on TikTok because you’re old and tired and you like weird new ”hacks” even though you hate that word, welcome. You’re our people.

So we were hate-scrolling on TikTok as we often do, and we encountered this woman make a truly mind-boggling drink that she dubbed a “healthy coke.”

There’s more to this story but first, see it for yourself:

Ok soooooo, we did what any normal, rational, tiny collective of 3 behind the scenes of a wellness brand would do: WE TRIED IT.

Was it good? Did it actually taste like coke? Should you try it? Will we ever make it again?

Welp. Here you go.

Audie, Editor in Chief

“I can’t tell if I’m going to make this every day now or if it tastes like garbage. But I’m drinking it AS I write this, so.”

Score: 8.2/10

Would I make it again: Yes?

Olivia, Editorial Coordinator

“It’s like kombucha! But sort of bad!”

Score: 5/10

Would I make it again: No

Sam, Social Media

“If I really try to convince my brain to forget that I’m drinking straight vinegar, it’s pretty good. It’s not a coke. But I did drink it all.”

Score: 7.5/10

Would I make it again: Yesssssssssssssssno.

Bonus from Sam’s bf: “It’s like if a Shirley temple got…rotten?”

The bottom line? It’s mostly dumb. It doesn’t taste like coke. Though it was sort of refreshing.

POSTSCRIPT: We continued futzing with this ridiculous concoction and actually found that adding a heaping glug of PRUNE JUICE actually made it quite delicious. More in a Dr. Peppery sort of way, but still. Try it! Or don’t!
