How To Make A Clean But Deeply Delicious Chicken Wrap
Servings: 1 | Prep Time: 2 minutes | Ingredients: 9
Ah, wraps. Tricking us into thinking we’re eating something healthy and nutritious since 1982. They’re so thin! They must be 400% more nutritious than this clearly artificially enriched bread full of fillers and bleached flour, most especially when classified as a “spinach wrap” because, you know, green! But no. Wraps are far more insidious than bread because they wear a cloak of lies, whereas with bread you know pretty much exactly what you’re getting into. But this wrap is different. This wrap wears its heart on its sleeve. Have one. Have two. They’re made with a specific brand of wraps which are paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and vegan. So build your wrap however you like that’s in keeping with your eating style. This is how we like ours:
Crunchy Healthy
Chicken Wrap
Ingredients:
rotisserie chicken (Whole Foods Naked is our fave, but anything without loads of sugar is fine)
homemade mayo (or any mayo you love) (not miracle whip)
radish or alfalfa sprouts
butter lettuce
1/4 avocado
orange pepper
red onion
Trader Joe’s Balsamic Glaze
Directions:
Smear mayo all over your wrap, liberally, because, come on.
Place a couple of lettuce leaves on the mayo.
Pile on your chicken, sprouts, avo, pepper (sliced thin), onion (also thin).
Drizzle with some of the glaze and maybe a few cranks of pepper.
Eat immediately, or throw into a stasher bag for an extremely not-sad desk lunch.
Note: Word to the wise: these wraps can be crumbly, so we don’t advise trying to cut them in half. If bringing them as a lunch, just roll them up and position in your baggie so that they hold together tightly.
