If You Have Sensitive Or Finicky Skin, This Is The Product That’s Been Missing From Your Daily Routine. And It’s Weird.
Ok so before you X out of this article in a rage because we are trying to convince you to buy WATER, just hear us out. This product is, without question, the most soothing, calming piece of skincare we’ve ever tried. If you have rosacea, reactivity, acne, active breakouts, irritation, truly anything that puts you squarely in the category of “sensitive,” this is a must-own. WHY is it different than just pouring some tap water into a mist bottle and squirting it onto your face? Welp. We are not scientists. And we sort of don’t know. But there are nearly 100 clinical studies that show it calms reactive skin, neutralizes redness, and reduces skin’s overall sensitivity.
We have been using this water for over 10 years and only recently thought to write about it because the author of this very article tried a new product in the name of testing for you guys (work never ends!!) and there was a very eruptive reaction. Avène Thermal Water to the rescue. A few, fresh pimples emerged on one of our daughters faces recently, and? Avène Thermal Water to the rescue. One of our husbands had a sunburn and before putting on aloe, Avène Thermal Water to the rescue.
This pattern really seemed to be screaming for us to finally shout it from the rooftops, and we’re sort of embarrassed we haven’t done so sooner. Maybe we thought you’d laugh and point at us for recommending something so silly and frivolous? But we hope that after all this time, and all of our many marvelous recommendations, you’ll trust us on this one.
Ok, so how to use. Honestly, any way you want really. But it’s especially good after you’ve washed your face and before you slather on moisturizer and/or spf, so they can penetrate the skin more deeply. (This is true!) It’s also lovely if you’re wearing nothing on your face and just want a little boost throughout the day. We bring it in every beach bag we pack, throw the mini bottle in our kids camp accoutrement each morning, use it in place of toner in the summers, and keep one in our purse to spray OVER makeup if we’re looking worse for wear come 3PM. But most of all, we love it for when we feel a pimple coming or are nursing red, angry skin from a disagreeable product or if ever we feel our skin needs extra soothing, calming love.
It’s miraculous, it’s cheap, and nearly 11 thousand glowing reviews can’t be wrong.
Try it. You’ll see.
