6 Perfumes You’ve Never Heard Of That Are Wildly Beautiful And Unique. And One Is $21.

Fine, you’ve probably heard of one of them.

by The Candidly Team

It’s close to impossible to read about a perfume and buy it online. Fragrance is so personal, so specific, so ineffable.

But we’re going to try our damndest to create the closest thing to actually being able to smell these 6 wildly unique fragrances, through words alone.

We’ve written about one of the best fragrances of all time HERE, but the following 6 just aren’t being talked about enough, and if you’re someone who wants to smell intoxicating, but not like everyone else, your signature scent might be on this list.

A quick warning—these perfumes are all so lovely, you will be stopped by strangers on the street who will ask—what in the world are you wearing? So be prepared.

Ok. Let’s begin.

1. Trish McEvoy No. 3 Snowdrop & Crystal Flowers Eau de Toilette

Back in the early 2000s, the brand couldn’t keep this scent in stock. And while it’s still available, it’s become more like a secret, known only to the most scent-obsessed. But trust us when we say there is nothing else in the world like this scent. We don’t know what a snowdrop is. Nor a crystal flower. But together they create something that can only be described as fresh. There’s some juiciness from lychee notes, warmth from teakwood, and brightness from freesia. The first day you mist this onto your wrist and throat, you’ll be fielding inquiries about how delicious you smell. It’s almost…annoying. Almost.

Price: $90

2. Philosophy amazing grace eau de parfum intense

This is the ultimate evening fragrance, and yes, it’s our from beloved Philosophy. Remember when we were all gaga for this brand? Welp, they’re still here. And while we actually adore the original Amazing Grace—a fragrance launched in the mid 90s, with notes of mandarin, musk, and jasmine—the Intense version has an added juicy berry note that awakens all of its original notes in this very rich way. It’s almost like the taste of avocado once you kiss it with a sprinkle of flaky salt—everything comes alive.

Price: $34 - $79

3. Altaia Amank'ay

Eau de Parfum Spray

There is nothing more quiet luxury than this fragrance. When you spray it onto your neck (front and back) you are instantly in another world. A far off meadow, perhaps? Notes of pink peppercorn, lotus flower, amber seeds, and juicy Asian pear flood your nostrils, and you wonder how you’ve lived this long without this scent. The price is worth the investment if you are someone who loves a wildly rare scent.

Price: $230

4. Nemat Egyptian Musk Fragrance Oil Roll-On

And now for something completely different. A humble roll-on oil, barely the price of a fast-casual lunch, proving sometimes the best things can also be the cheapest, if you know where to look. This classic musky scent will thrill you if you cut your teeth on White Musk from The Body Shop, back when we were preteens, our bellies full of cinnabons and nervous knots and a gumption that has carried us through to where we are right now. It’s soft, clean, lasts all day, is perfect for travel because of its size, and it’s one of our favorite perfumes of all time. We feel smug and smart to have discovered something so good yet so affordable.

Price: $21

5. Jones Road Fragrance Shower

This is really the ”soap and water” scent.  Notes of neroli and sea spray give it that still-wet-from-shower clean scent that keeps you sniffing your wrist all day. If you’re someone who wants something subtle but still memorable, this is it.

Price: $42

6. "VACATION" by Vacation Eau de Toilette

If you’re a sunscreen-y fragrance person, this is your new favorite perfume. There is nothing else out there with this hot-skin-on-a-hot-day summer scent. Dripping with notes of coconut, banana, pool toy, pineapple, and orange blossom, you’re transported to the 80s—complete with orange gelée suntan lotion, a frosty can of Tab, and Faith blasting on the stereo. Take us back.

Price: $60
