This article is part of our series called "People We Like," in which we highlight interesting women, across all walks of life.

Leaders, great cooks, doctors, parents, writers; people who inspire us.

Today, we’re highlighting Roxana Saidi, the founder and CEO of Taché, a line of plant-based pistachio milk that comes in the cutest, straight-from-your-local-French-market packaging.

The Candidly Questionnaire

1. What’s your most compelling quality?

I’m pretty much in the Hall of Fame for ordering for a group at a restaurant. Any size, any setting, any hunger level, I got it in the bag, and that comes in handy more than one might think.

Besides that, I’ve been known to be a “doer” and I find that pretty compelling too.

2. What’s your worst quality, according to your friends?

Lately, it’s that I take a week to respond to them.

3. What’s an overrated value you don’t buy into?

Perfectionism.

4. How do you feel about cilantro?

In love and always will be. I once won a $100 bet with my mother that cilantro was, in fact, an ingredient in the ice cream of a dessert at a restaurant.

5. Are essential oils anything?

I prefer olive oil.

6. What's the most effective beauty trick you know?

Not drinking alcohol.

7. How do you get your self-esteem?

Someone once asked Fran Lebowitz how you acquire a sense of humor and her reply was, “like you acquire height.” I think of it like that.

8. What meal can you make the hell out of?

Cacio E Pepe with spaghetti from scratch has been a pandemic hit.

9. What’s your favorite item of clothing you own?

I have a yellow Cecilie Bahnsen dress that brings me oodles of joy. I cherish my Khaite pieces as Cate Holstein’s interpretation of modern confidence is unsurpassed IMO.

10. How do you handle conflict?

By talking it out.

11. What idea has really challenged you in the last year?

No idea is too bold or too far-fetched to be achieved.

12. Who is the most interesting person in the zeitgeist right now?

Kamala Harris.

13. What Insta account speaks to you deeply?

As much as I can’t wait for us to all move on from Insta, I do love these folks and their creative passions:

14. What quote or phrase has stayed with you?

Trust the timing of your life.

15. What forms of therapy have changed your relationship to yourself?

Journaling and meditation.

16. What’s the most delicious bite of food you’ve ever had?

Most recently, the pistachio pizza from Emily aptly titled “Emily.”

17. Is social media ruining our brains?

This is an unassailable “yes” -- take it from me, a former social agency founder.

18. Describe your actual bedtime routine.

I like an evening shower to wash the day away. I’m usually too exhausted to use or do anything with all products I have, which is a shame, but these days getting cozy in bed with Netflix is more of the self-care I need than a face mask.

19.  What’s your relationship with bangs?

We were in a committed relationship for a solid decade.
