1. What’s your most compelling quality?

Determination.

2. What’s your worst quality, according to your friends?

Intensity.

3. What’s an overrated value you don’t buy into?

Too much personal or professional freedom—people need boundaries.

4. How do you feel about cilantro?

Doesn’t bother me.

  

5. What's the most effective beauty trick you know?

The basics—get enough sleep, exercise and eat well.

6. How do you get your self-esteem?

My parents instilled it in me.

7. What meal can you make the hell out of?

Vegetable lasagna with fresh noodles, homemade sauce, and whatever vegetables are in season.

8. What’s your favorite item of clothing you own?

My Mother zip-up hoodie. I wear it almost every day.

9. What’s your single favorite, effective “lady” product that works?

Thinx leak-proof underwear.

10. How do you handle conflict in your closest relationships?

I don’t love conflict, but I’ve learned that addressing something sooner rather than later tends to lead to better outcomes, personally and professionally.

 

11. What’s something you’ve changed your mind about in the last year?

Work travel--I’ve realized that many trips I took weren’t really needed.

12. Who is someone in your field of work that you admire?

Katrina Lake—for building a very successful eCommerce business and taking it public.

13. What Insta account speaks to you deeply?

@heymamaco and @celestebarber. I’m always looking for a bit of levity these days. And @allisonholker and @thewilliamsfam, who are such awesome dancers.

14.  What’s your favorite movie from the last ten years?

Ladybird.

15. What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned about yourself as a leader?

I need to be more directive, instead of trying to build consensus -- especially when time is of the essence.

16. What’s the most delicious bite of food you’ve ever had?

My go-to comfort food in San Francisco is Delfina’s spaghetti with tomato sauce. Simple but SO good.

17. Is social media ruining our brains?

When we are scrolling and scrolling without even realizing we’re in the rabbit hole--yes.

18.  Describe your actual bedtime routine.

Put my kids to bed. Watch the nightly news and scroll through emails at the same time. Do my usual skincare routine and call it a night.

19. What’s your relationship with bangs?

I love mine.
