You Might Need This Miracle Product If You Have Mature, Sensitive Skin But Are Freaked Out By Retinol

WHAT: Epionce Lytic Tx

WHY: Truthfully, wrinkles aren’t the hard part about watching ourselves age. Wrinkles are cute.

For us, it’s more about the overall…dullness. The pores. The texture. We feel like there must be that magic thing we’re not using but if we DID, we’d actually notice our skin changing, becoming glowier, brighter, fresher, reflective more of how we imagine we look before the mirror shows us the cold, hard reality.

And maybe…there is?

Now, first a disclaimer. If you are extremely dry, this isn’t for you. But if you are combination, oily, or have anything other than bone-dry skin, this really just might be it. It.

It’s called Lytic Tx by Epionce, the tube is boring, the brand seems blah, and yet it’s the most effective product we’ve used in a very long time.

Ok, so what IS this product and what does it do?

So it doesn’t replace anything else you’re using, but it’s essentially a serum made of an ingredient that doesn’t get talked about enough: azelaic acid.

It can treat melasma, acne, hyperpigmentation, promotes cell turnover, unclogs pores, has anti-inflammatory properties, and is overall a skin brightening product that’s ideal for sensitive skin. It’s actually found in barley strangely enough. Science!

So why isn’t this miracle project used more? Like we’ve all heard of glycolic acid, why not this?

Truthfully? Unclear. We spoke to a few derms, and they were all gaga for the ingredient. The conspiratorial part of us feels like maybe because it’s relatively cheap to make it doesn’t feel like a cash cow? But perhaps that’s taking it too far.

The other key ingredient in Lytic Tx is good ‘ol salicylic acid. Now, yes, we’re all terrified that that can be skin-stripping from our excessive Clearasil days, but in fact, salicylic acid helps the top layer of skin shed dead skin cells, which leads to this almost insta-glow when you use it.

We love this product in the morning before sunscreens and at night before THIS oil, but you may have to work up to twice a day. But unlike retinol where you have to plan your entire life around peeling and flaking, this product is specifically for sensitive skin, so most people can just start using it once a day with no issues. Unless you consider tiny pores and disappearing redness and lessened melasma and glowing cheeks an “issue.”

It’s always a good idea to speak to your derm before introducing medical grade skincare, but we had to crow about this product from the rooftops because within one week, we could see a change.

And in fact, because of the near immediate results, we’ve now dipped our toe into the line’s other products, specifically THIS cream and THIS calming mask, and they’re both excellent on our reactive, sensitive skin.

Pro tip: only one pump for the entire face. You’ll be compelled to squirt out more but don’t. It’s all you need.

Double pro tip: take a photo of your skin before you start using it and then after a week. You will absolutely see a marked difference.

Triple pro tip: be sure to buy it from Dermstore and don’t search it on Amazon (which is what we always do) because it’s not verified on Amazon so stay away from that scary unknown.

Try it. It really could be that one thing you knew was out there but could never quite reach.

And you can even use our code, CANDIDLY, to get 15% off at Dermstore.
