This Is The Most Flattering “Everyday” Dress We’ve Been Searching For Since Birth
Forgetting for a moment that we want to live the kind of life where we can wear ludicrously large hats on a daily basis, just look. at. this. dress.
The elegant nip at the waist. The slight puff of the skirt. And, the pièce de résistance, its magic neckline:
So here is its true genius: while the skirt is made of European cotton, the top is made of a soft, stretchy material with just enough hold that you’ll feel held up and secure. We won’t technically say you can go braless, but we will say that all of us who tried the dress did. And it was glorious. No extra straps. Nothing cutting into our flesh. Just a soft, flattering bodice with a perfect scoop neckline that basically feels like a tank top. Let’s see that neckline on a real, live, non-model lady, shall we?
Oh yes. It has pockets.
And here it is a bit more “styled.”
And finally. The length. This dress is a true, honest to goodness maxi dress. So many purported maxis really hit around mid calf, and so we buy these “long” dresses, imagining ourselves feeling lithe and graceful, and then they hit our legs in the most ridiculous spot, actually shortening the look of our legs, and then we just get sad and decide dresses aren’t for us.
But dresses are for us. Or at least, this dress is.
It’s the kind of dress you sort of fling on on a Saturday, and almost forget how good you look because it’s so ridiculously comfortable. But then, midday, you catch a fleeting glance at yourself through the supermarket window reflection and think, “Wow. That’s me?”
Yes. That’s you.
And she is called Clara. We hope inspired by The Nutcracker.
