This Celeb-Loved French Body Cream Is $14 on Amazon Right Now. And It’s Worth Allllll The Culty Hype.
1. It must sink into skin INSTANTLY such that even if we get dressed immediately after we slather ourselves, there is zero stickiness
2. It must make our skin feel smooth and soft and supple as a horse’s nose
3. Lastly, but weirdly most importantly, it must smell like the most beautiful smell we’ve ever smelled so that we remember to coat our limbs and stomach and chest each and every night without fail because we long to smell that beautiful smell so that once we’re 87 years old our skin is still gorgeously soft because we remembered to moisturize every, single day of our lives.
And so to find this unicorn of creams, we would surely pay almost any amount of money. We spend all of this time and energy thinking about the skin on our face, but as we all know, “our skin is our biggest organ” and if you’re hovering around 40 like us, you’re inspecting your knees and elbows and neck and realizing you’ve been neglectful.
We’ve tried every brand. Everything. Drugstore. Overpriced. All of it. We tried a $315 cream we were sent for free and wanted to love it SO BADLY, but we didn’t.
And no matter what we try, we always come back to the best body lotion we’ve ever used:
Embryolisse moisturizer for face and body.
We know we’re not being particularly original here since every celebrity on earth (ahem, Kim K) uses this stuff. And every makeup artist has the FACE cream in their kit because it works on every skin type and is magic under makeup. And further, we’re not even sure why it’s so good since the ingredients seem relatively common—aloe vera, beeswax, shea butter come to mind. But it just feels…different. Lightweight and so deeply softening, and truly no greasiness whatsoever, and yet, it works better than any of our thick, rich creams designed for dry skin.
And now? The scent. It smells, well, like a French Pharmacy. We can’t fully explain it. It’s just crisp and light and subtly like paper and laundry. Also maybe a hint of a rose that was plucked 6 hours ago. But it isn’t “floral” really. Just hypnotically fresh. And French.
The baby bottle is a scant $14, but the giant tub that has lasted us for more than 7 months is $35, which is still a steal.
We have never been more confident about recommending a product in our lives. And we…recommend a lot of products.
Try it. You’ll never go back to anything else.
