This Is The Best Lip Balm We’ve Ever Tried. Period.

WHAT: Furtuna Skin Olive Lip Butter Balm

WHY: We have tried upwards of one hundred lip balms over the past few years. We counted. 

We don’t actually write about balms very much, and that’s because even though we are transfixed by them and legitimately try every, single new balm that bursts onto the makeup scene, we rarely find one that’s particularly special. 

They all feel sort of the same. They’re all basically a solid B. And a B is pretty good. It’s above average. They’re just not … excellent. And we only write about excellent things.

Now, we discovered this product because we’ve developed a nice relationship with Furtuna throughout the years after first falling in love with their UNBELIEVABLE face oil. Ok, so why is this lip balm excellent in a sea of just ok lip balms?

There is one key reason. 

Once the balm has worn away (which is just the reality of balms—we’re not going to pretend this balm lasts for 8 hours) it leaves our lips softer.  We don’t have to immediately reapply. It’s not like the Dasani of lip balms where they actually ADD SALT to make you thirstier so that you have to drink more Dasani. No. This is a lip treatment which means the emollient ingredients actually repair your lips’ barrier, which in turn, makes them more hydrated. Cracks and lines disappear, and because of this, our lips look bigger.
